Copies of her picture book, Cedric and the Dragon, will be available for sale at the event.

    Kathie Hightower, coauthor of Military Spouse Journey and Stories Around the Table is one of several Oregon-based authors who will participate in Indies First at the Cloud & Leaf Bookstore in Manzanita, Oregon, on Sat. Nov. 28, 2015, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Pacific. That day is also Small Business Saturday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year and the perfect time to find books for holiday gifts. Indies First is a way for authors to show their support and gratitude for their local independent booksellers. Authors help customers find great books and they share some of their favorite books--not their own books, but other books they personally love.
