Corie Weathers Leads Retreat for Women at JB Lewis-McCord, April 13-15, 2018
Corie Weathers, author of Sacred Spaces: My Journey to the Heart of Military Marriage, is the featured speaker for a Lifegiver Strengths women’s retreat, organized by the Protestant Women of the Chapel at Joint Base Lewis-McCord April 13 – 15, 2018. “We will discover together what we do well and how to find define our sense of purpose,” Corie says. While in Washington, Corie will also meet with members of a JBLM Sacred Spaces book club. The members have been reading and discussing her book, which is based on Corie's experiences with deployment and healing in her military marriage.

The authors will be featured at the Resource and Leadership Showcase on July 24, 11:45 AM – 1:30 PM Eastern, and will sign books at the showcase as well as later that afternoon at 5 PM at the onsite MCEC Bookstore.

Deborah Tainsh Signs Books at National Infantry Museum, Sept. 8, 2018
Deborah Tainsh, Gold Star wife and mother and author of Heart of a Hawk and Surviving the Folded Flag will sign copies of her books in the lobby of the National Infantry Museum & Soldier Center on Sat., Sept. 8, 2018, beginning at noon Eastern. The booksigning and other events will follow the 11 AM rededication ceremony for the Global War on Terrorism Memorial at the museum in Columbus, Georgia, near Fort Benning. Gold Star family members will be honored guests at the ceremony.
