Nina Victor Crittenden, illustrator of Cedric and the Dragon by Elizabeth Raum, is celebrating the launch of her latest book, The Three Little Pugs (Little Bee Books). Nina will read her new book at 11 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018 during story time at the Barnes and Noble at Calhoun Village Shopping Center, 3216 West Lake St, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Corie Weathers Leads Retreat for Women at JB Lewis-McCord, April 13-15, 2018

Corie Weathers, author of Sacred Spaces: My Journey to the Heart of Military Marriage, is the featured speaker for a Lifegiver Strengths women’s retreat, organized by the Protestant Women of the Chapel at Joint Base Lewis-McCord April 13 – 15, 2018. “We will discover together what we do well and how to find define our sense of purpose,” Corie says. While in Washington, Corie will also meet with members of a JBLM Sacred Spaces book club. The members have been reading and discussing her book, which is based on Corie's experiences with deployment and healing in her military marriage.

Barnes Shares Column-Writing Insights at National High School Journalism Convention

Terri Barnes, Elva Resa’s senior editor and the creator of a popular and long-running column in Stars and Stripes, led a workshop called “Becoming A Columnist” at the Spring National High School Journalism Convention in San Francisco , California, April 14, 2018. She also served as a judge for the Write-Off Contest at the convention, which is co-sponsored by the Journalist Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. With more than 4,000 delegates from hundreds of schools, the JEA/NSPA convention is the largest gathering of student journalists in the country.
