Lightfoot on Military Spouse Panel at IAM Conference, Oct. 15, 2021
Lizann Lightfoot, author of Open When: Letters of Encouragement for Military Spouses, will be a panelist speaker at the International Association of Movers (IAM) Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, 10:30–11:30 AM Eastern. The panel is part of a new IAM military track, where professional moving companies can learn more about the details and specific challenges of military moves.
Pavlicin-Fragnito Speaks at IBPA’s Publishing University, April 5-6, 2019
Karen Pavlicin-Fragnito, publisher at Elva Resa and a current Independent Book Publishers Association national board member, will speak on two panels at IBPA's Publishing University. She'll join other industry experts to discuss educational publishing and special sales markets. Both sessions are geared toward intermediate-experienced publishers.
The premier educational event for indie and author publishers, Pub U will be held April 5-6, 2019, with pre-conference sessions on April 4, in Chicago.
Trimillos, Huisman Share Milkid Seasons of Transition(TM) at MIC3 2018 Annual Business Meeting
Amanda Trimillos, EdD, and Stacy Allsbrook-Huisman, coauthors of Seasons of My Military Student: Practical Ideas for Parents and Teachers, will present at the Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission (MIC3)'s annual business meeting October 17 and 18, 2018, in Cleveland, Ohio. At the event, Amanda and Stacy will talk about the Seasons of TransitionTM, the cycle of transitions a military-connected student experiences when frequently changing schools due to a parent’s military service. They will also offer tips for education leaders to help parents and teachers understand and implement the provisions of the Interstate Compact.
