September 6, 2014 at 10:00 am - 2:00 pm CDT
Author Karen Pavlicin-Fragnito will meet and greet families and sign copies of her book Life After Deployment at the Quantico-NCA-Henderson Hall “Welcome to the Neighborhood – Step Off Your Front Porch – Join the Community” event on Saturday, September 6, 2014, 10 AM to 2 PM Eastern.
All National Capital Region Marines and their families are invited. There is no cost to attend and meet the author. Books will be available for purchase. Hosted by Marine Corps Community Service, the Front Porch event is part of a Marine Corps Fest gathering at Barnett Field (adjacent to Little Hall) on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.
Karen is one of two authors from the First Lady of the Marine Corps Recommended Reading List featured at the event. Shannon Maxwell, author of My Daddy Is Invincible will also attend.
First Lady of the Marine Corps Mrs. Bonnie Amos set up her Front Porch events to help build Esprit de Corps and networking among Marine families and to encourage families to “step off their front porch” and join the community.
The Quantico-NCA-Henderson Hall joint event is one of several Front Porch events at Marine bases around the world. In addition to information about Marine family resources, the outdoor event will include rock climbing, a video game truck, and much more for both adults and children of all ages.
