Teri Weber is the author of the Operation Aviation™ picture book series, which includes Fly with Mytai (English, March 2024), Vuela con Maytai (Spanish, March 2024), Toad the Tanker (English, June 2024), El Tanquecito (Spanish, June 2024), Moose on a Mission (English, September 2024), and La Misión de Alce (Spanish, September 2024).
A fourth-generation military officer serving as a senior pilot in the United States Air Force, Teri is a seasoned C-17A Instructor Aircraft Commander. She has experience leading combat-ready aircrew members and operating a $295 million aircraft in support of humanitarian relief, medical evacuations, presidential movements, and Department of Defense initiatives. She has deployed in support of downrange operations, flown in every area of responsibility to conduct global airlift missions, and been awarded an Air Medal and Aerial Achievement Medal.
With a passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of aviators, Teri frequently volunteers with children of all ages and backgrounds. She often serves as a panelist and guest speaker at Girls in STEM and Girls in Aviation events, has represented the Air Force on Netflix’s “Kindness Diaries,” and engages with young students through aircraft static displays, career fairs, unit tours, and mentorship workshops.
Teri is currently assigned to Headquarters Air Force at the Pentagon. She lives in Washington D.C. with her husband—an active-duty Marine—and their young son and daughter.
