An author and educator focused on child development, Rachel Robertson combined her professional training and personal experience supporting herself and her two children through her husband’s military deployments to create a series of journals for families during deployment: Deployment Journal for Kids, Deployment Journal for Spouses, and Deployment Journal for Parents.
She is also the coauthor of educator resources Prove It and Healthy Children, Healthy Lives (both Redleaf Press) and children’s books When You Just Have to Roar and A Teacher’s Promise (both Redleaf Lane).
Rachel is vice president of education and development for Bright Horizons Family Solutions. She is a nationally-recognized expert in early learning, resilience, social and emotional development, early childhood education quality, and training in a variety of fields.
She writes for parenting and educator publications nationally and offers workshops for parents and education staff around the United States.
Rachel is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and serves on the Exchange Research to Practice committee as well as the HeadStarter Network Education Council.
