Mollie Gross is a standup comedienne, motivational speaker, and the wife of a Marine Iraq War veteran. She wrote “Tale of the Meat Man,” a humorous story of one adventure during her husband’s deployment, in Stories Around the Table: Laughter, Wisdom, and Strength in Military Life.
About her story, she says, “Humor is the great stress reliever. Many times we take life and ourselves too seriously. Take a breath, take a step back, and allow yourself to laugh. And the laughter will heal you.”
She is the author of Confessions of a Military Wife and the creator of a comedy CD Mollie Gross: Military Wife Comedy. Mollie takes her humor to military spouses in personal appearances around the country and via her popular videos on YouTube. She enjoys telling the story of the Meat Man, but to avoid flashbacks, she has not been to an Outback Steakhouse in seven years.
Mollie has bottle-raised more than fifty kittens and fostered them until they have homes. “I find the experience rewarding, and of course, full of laughter. My husband thinks it’s cute till the Christmas tree comes crashing down and the house is over taken by cat toys and scratching posts.”
She and her husband currently live in Los Angeles, California.
