Stories Authors at MCEC NTS July 30-31, 2015

Stories Around the Table authors Janine Boldrin, Jacey Eckhart, Jeremy Hilton, Holly Scherer, and Amanda Trimillos will talk with school liaisons, military leaders, educators, and other attendees at the Military Child Education Coalition‘s 17th National Training Seminar (NTS), July 30-31, 2015, in Washington, DC.

NTS is a premier training event for anyone interested in serving and supporting military and veteran-connected children. The event provides a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with senior military, policy, corporate, and education leaders. This year’s theme is “Military and Veteran Kids: Their Story, Our Mission.” Focused on character development, systems of support, and academics and innovation, the seminar provides in-depth coverage of current issues relevant to military and veteran-connected children during a period of significant change and challenge.

Key speakers include Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter, General Martin E. Dempsey, Admiral Harry B. Harris, Jr., Dr. Ken Ginsburg of The Philadelphia Children’s Hospital, and former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling.

Copies of Stories Around the Table: Laughter, Wisdom, and Strength in Military Life will be available for sale in the MCEC Bookstore throughout the training.

Meet the authors and get your book signed at the official booksigning on Thursday, July 30, 5:15–6PM in the MCEC Bookstore. Authors will also be available at Table TT20 in the Expo on Thursday and Friday.

At the Expo, authors will share ideas for Stories Experiences in school communities, as well as information about Elva Resa resources for military-connected children.
