Thomas Litchford wrote “Moving the Lighthouse,” an essay about his experiences as a Navy husband, in Stories Around the Table: Laughter, Wisdom, and Strength in Military Life.
About his story he says, “Some years ago, the editor of an alternative weekly paper asked me to write a piece titled ‘Life as a Military Husband 101,’ and I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t encapsulate all my thoughts and emotions in one piece. But when I was thinking about ideas for this book, I remembered the lighthouse, and I knew I’d found the perfect metaphor for my experiences.”
Thomas is a coffee fanatic who has gadgets and gizmos that can brew a cup of coffee five different ways. He has also written for Military Spouse magazine.
He works as the technology manager for Naval Academy Primary School. He lives with his family in Annapolis, Maryland.
