DESCRIPTION:The 2019 Holes 4 Heroes Multi-Species Ice Fishing Tournament hosted by Fishing for Life and honoring service members\, veterans\, and their families\, will be held Saturday\, February 2\, 2019\, 1–4 PM Central. The tournament circle is on Medicine Lake in front of Harty’s Boat Works\, 1920 E. Medicine Lake Blvd\, Plymouth\, Minnesota. \nThe fishing tournament is open to all. There will be great prizes\, food\, and fun activities for kids….not to mention great fishing! \nMeet Elva Resa team members in the Volunteer/Service Member Check-in Tent and find out how to win a gift card to MilitaryFamilyBooks.com while you enjoy a day of fishing! \nREGISTRATION\nMilitary personnel and their immediate families (spouse and children) can register in advance online or on the ice the day of the event at NO CHARGE for their FIRST HOLE. Military participants may purchase a second hole at any time for $5. \nNonmilitary participants may register in advance online until 6 PM Wednesday\, January 30\, 2019\, and is just $10 per person per hole. Same-day registration (walk-up on the ice) is $15 per person per hole. Your registration helps provide free fishing opportunities for families who have served our country! \nPaid participants may purchase and fish out of up to two holes per person. \nAll online registration & advanced ticket sales will end on Wednesday\, January 30\, 2019\, at 6 PM. \nOVERSEAS SIMULCAST\nThis tournament will be simulcast to service members stationed overseas so that personnel currently serving in overseas locations can watch their family & friends while they fish. Advance registration is REQUIRED for those who wish to participate in the simulcast so we can coordinate timing and logistics and your military friend or family member can be positioned to participate. Contact Tom Goodrich to inquire about being a part of the simulcast. \nRULES & PRIZES\nAll fish must be caught on Medicine Lake between 1-4 PM to be eligible for prizes and must be weighed in by 4 PM. Additional tournament rules will be available on FishingforLife.org. \nOver $5\,000 in prizes will be awarded\, including prizes from Clam\, Frabill\, Aqua-Vu\, Strikemaster\, Dicks Sporting Goods\, and Cabela’s. \nINCLEMENT WEATHER / UNSAFE ICE CONDITIONS\nIf weather or ice conditions are questionable\, visit FishingforLife.org to find out whether the tournament will take place. Notice will be posted by 6 AM on the day of the tournament.
