DESCRIPTION:As part of Suicide Prevention Week\, Elva Resa author Judy Davis will co-present a Suicide Prevention Faculty Seminar on Friday\, September 11\, 2015 at 12 noon at Texas Tech University in Room TLPDC 153. \n“Crisis on the Horizon” features Judy and her son\, Geoffrey Davis\, cofounders of Living Thru Crisis. The event is geared to university leadership\, faculty\, and staff and will provide insight for addressing the warning signs and at risk behaviors indicative of suicide and depression at colleges. Information will be presented in an interactive and engaging way. \nFree with Texas Tech University ID. \nJudy is the author of Right Side Up: Find Your Way When Military Life Turns You Upside Down and Warning Signs: A Parenting Guide for Discovering if Your Teen is at Risk for Depression\, Addiction or Suicide. She also wrote about her son’s experience with crisis in “My Son’s Battle” in Stories Around the Table: Laughter\, Wisdom\, and Strength in Military Life.
