Weathers Keynotes Virtual MilSpouseFest Sept. 15, 2020

Corie Weathers, author of the award-winning book Sacred Spaces: My Journey to the Heart of Military Marriage, is the keynote speaker for two virtual MilSpouseFest events on Sept. 15, one from 9 AM to 2 PM Central and the other from 5:30 to 9 PM Central. The theme of Corie’s presentations is “Better Together.”

“We’re going to dive deep into talking about what military spouses need right now. Where they are on their personal journeys, where they want to go, and how they can get there,” says Corie. “We’re going to cover the ways they’re affected by COVID and by the demands of military life. We’re also going to talk about how to find community in the midst of all those things.”

The events are free and include activities and discussions about military spouse life, as well as games and giveaways, including gift cards, books and other prizes from veteran and spouse owned businesses. A limited number of copies of Corie’s book, Sacred Spaces, will be among the giveaways.
