Jennifer Jesseph

Jennifer Jesseph has been writing poems for more than 20 years. When she thought of parents deploying, the image of a kite came to mind and that’s when she wrote “Holding Mom’s Kite,” her shape poem in Military Life: Stories and Poems for Children.

Jennifer teaches English as a Second Language in the Rochester, Minnesota, Public Schools. She is married and has a teenage son and daughter. Her family loves theater, music, singing, and going to concerts. Jennifer’s poems for adults and children have been featured in a variety of places such as the Poet-Artist collaboration and Poetography, sponsored by Crossings in Zumbrota. Her poems for children have appeared in Highlights, Your Big Back Yard, Ladybug, and Shoo-fly Audio magazine.
