Pavlicin-Fragnito Speaks at Midwest Independent Publishers Association Nov. 12, 2019

November 12, 2019 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm CST

Elva Resa Publishing founder and publisher Karen Pavlicin-Fragnito will speak at the Midwest Independent Publishers Association (MIPA) meeting Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 7 PM–9 PM CT in Minneapolis.

Karen will talk with independent traditional publishers, hybrid publishers, and author-publishers about the key questions publishers should ask themselves about their books, portfolio, brand, and go-to-market strategy to self-evaluate their publishing programs and effectively seize their best opportunities.

Both those new to publishing and those with many years’ experience will find helpful information ranging from industry standards for creating books to determining if niche publishing is right for a particular press.

Karen is an Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) national board member, serving on the Executive Committee and Editorial Advisory Committee. An award-winning author and publisher, she has more than 22 years of book publishing experience.

Elva Resa Publishing is a traditional publishing house that specializes in books for and about military families.

Send your questions ahead of time to Sybil Smith and Suzzanne Kelley by October 31, and Karen will address as many pre-submitted questions as possible in her presentation. There will be time for additional discussion.

The meeting is free to MIPA members; $10 nonmember fee. Networking begins at 6:30 PM. The November meeting will be held in the new location at 1330 Industrial Boulevard NE.
