Hoppey Reads The Good Fire Helmet in Port Jervis, NY, Oct. 25, 2018

Author Tim Hoppey will read his book, The Good Fire Helmet, on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School in Port Jervis, New York. Hoppey’s presentation to third graders at the school will also include a talk about writing techniques. The students have been working with the Teachers College Writing Program, and the event with Hoppey celebrates their first publications.

“Port Jervis is the hometown of my parents and generations of Hoppeys before them,” says the author, who grew up on Long Island. “It’s always good to go back to that little city on the Delaware River.”
